Passion Group: extraordinary or nothing
THEPassion Groupbrings together three RE/MAX agencies that operate from Mozelos to Águeda and Estarreja. When they came to me, they had a problem common to almost the entire sector: a website that listed properties but did not communicate any brands. It looked the same as the competition and said nothing about what makes them different.
The objective became clear at the first meeting. The site had to do three jobs at the same time, for three different audiences: those looking for a house, those looking for credit, and those the group wants to recruit.
The challenge
The difficulty was not technical, it was hierarchical. A single website serving buyers, credit clients and potential advisors tends to dilute the message and not convert anyone. Most competitors solve this by piling everything onto the same home page. The result is noise.
Furthermore, the properties lived in the RE/MAX network system. Any solution had to consume this data automatically, without forcing the group to duplicate listings by hand, something that would be unsustainable for a team without a dedicated marketing department.
The approach
The most important decision was to adopt a strong rather than a neutral editorial identity. I worked on a deep burgundy palette, serif display typography holding the headline "Extraordinary or nothing", and a lean navigation that clearly separates the three paths: the houses, the team and recruitment.
Recruitment gained its own weight, with an isolated button at the top and a repeated call on hero. It was a business choice, not an aesthetic one: for an expanding group, attracting consultants is worth as much as attracting clients, and the visual hierarchy began to reflect this.
The entire design came from the cell phone first. More than seventy percent of real estate traffic in Portugal arrives via mobile, so the layout was validated on the small screen before moving to the desktop.
The technical solution
I opted for a mobile-first architecture with a front-end inNext.jsand content management inHeadless WordPress, which gives the team autonomy to edit texts and pages without touching code.
Properties are automatically synchronized from the network system through a scheduled integration, which runs every hour and keeps the listing always updated without manual intervention. Technical SEO was included as standard: structured data for real estate, dynamic sitemap and image optimization in the build.
Everything was documented in a maintenance runbook, so that the site survives any team change and does not depend on just one person.
Results
Illustrative numbers for the first three months after launch:
Home page load time under one second on 4G.
38 percent increase in applications received through recruitment.
More than 240 properties automatically synchronized, with zero manual entry.
Lighthouse score of 98 out of 100 for mobile performance.
What remains
A real estate website doesn't need to look like everyone else. When the identity is assumed and the architecture is designed for the business, the same website can sell houses, obtain credit and recruit at the same time, without sacrificing any of them.
